Question Recovery and Format

My laptop has win7 installed but i could not reboot it. I have tried the startup recovery, launch repair, but doesnt work as the recovery or repair windows doesnt show and it stall at the blue blank screen. I want to recover some document so i plug in as external drive to a laptop with win10 but my C drive is not accessable while i can access d other partition from my external drive. Do i have to format it to b able to use the hard disk again or is der a way i can recover it. I am thinking that my C drive should be accesable if i am using it as an external drive. Please help

It does not so any drive usage...its blank
