Recovery Disc and New Hard Disk

Hi, I am having Acer Aspire M1641 desktop.

My hard disk damage and bought a Seagate 500 GB to replace,

I partition the hard disk to aproximately 200 GB and 300 GB then quik format

Then I use the recovery disc 1 and recovery disk 2 trying to restore back but not success.

Please help and advise

The New HD does not contain the Acer Aspire Recovery Partition, which should be re-imaged (re-created) to allow the restore to work, as noted in this article(Our re-image dvd); however, I am not advocating you use this particular application to do so. You may want to go to www.acer.com and search recovery methods for your model. Aside from recovery disks, you will need a Windows Vista cd/dvd to install the OS on the new drive
