recovery of files in pendrive accessed from laptop

i accessed some files from external hdd. while trying to play a video file,i accidently clicked the option-zip files once and another time i chose zip and mail.but i both cases i closed the winzip application when it started opening. now,can i recover the file from my laptop hdd? will it be stored in any cache or temp file folders?

what i mean is ,i don`t have that pendrive now.can i recover it from laptop hdd which i used just to play and zip data from pendrive

It depends if the files are there on your laptop. If the files are on the laptop you can recover it no matter in what format (.avi .mp3 or zip).

that is my question actually pal.will it be saved in my laptop?? i just accessed files from external hdd.i cancelled the winzip after it got opened immediately-means it didn`t complete zipping operation.will the file be saved in winzip cache or temp folders???

if suppose the option is completed,is there chance for it to be stored?? like for eg,i played it in vlc player.will it be stored.it is a 50 mb video.!!will it be in vlc cache or win temp folder??

That won't work also, cause the source file is missing. But you can try it if you think so. If you remember the names of the files search it on net, may you get lucky.
