I just got a new Dell Inspiron 24 All-In-One 5420. It has Windows 11 Home on it.

I want to make a System recovery USB to allow reinstalling Windows. How big of a USB do I need?

Also, the operating system is on a 256gb SSD drive and it has a 1TB HDD for data. How can I set windows to use the 1TB drive for all data? I want to preserve the 256gn one for Windows. And, should I install apps on the 256gb SATA for speed or leave windothe only thing on it?

Let me know and thanks!

Applications should be installed on the SSD. You can't keep it "windows only", nor should you.

Your data?
Make a couple of folders on the HDD.
Use your applications, and when you save, tell it where. The next time that application wants to save something, it will almost certainly point to that same place.

In your browser, you can designate whatever folder as the default save location.
