I'm looking for some type of fan that will work in the rectangular grill
above the pci slots. Does noy have to be rectangular but must push air
through the grill

It's for a silverstone tjo6 coming in on monday <VBSEG>

So where are you putting the power supply?

In the spot where it s suppose to go. In the picture the grill is to the
left of the PCI slots. When I stick my cards in I tend to think of that
area as being on top although it's not when the case is in use

You don't put a fan there. The design is for the 80 mm to push air out of
the case and at the same time to draw cool outside air over the PCI cards. A
very ingenous design. Plus you need the room for your hands to lock and
unlock the latches for your cards. Once you set up your system and get it
running it will all make sense. Nice case!

Ah, ok. I was looking at that big spot between the upper hole where I
was thinking the power supply should go and wondering if you wanted to
put a big fan in there. Then maybe put the power supply below it in
that enclosed looking area between the p/s and the cards. What is that
area for anyway? Nice looking case, BTW.

Maybe you could adapt something like this:

It's where you can put six harddrives which get cooled through the PSU
airflow

Is where I lifted the pic from. Just went down a buck from when I ordered
it monday by money order. Probably won't use the the wind tunnel as I have
a sunbeam ducting kit.

I really like the location of the 120mm fans. Its a three zone cooling
system and I'm not sure if the 80mm fan has enough ooomph to cool the pci
card area.

Hmmm really don't like squirrel cage fans. If I was going to use one I'd
just use the PCI slot style squirrel cage

Anyway I seem to recall seeing something you can use in the area of the PCI
grill someplace and was hoping somone here might recall it

I would cut a window in the side panel and use fan screws to fasten the
Plexiglas to the case opening then cut out a hole in the Plexiglas for a
120mm fan directly across from the pci slots. A CD can be used for the
120mm hole size and dremel will cut the Plexiglas and the metal case with a
little sand paper and black touch up paint it will look like it can from the
manufacture that way. You could get creative with the window cut with such
a large case. You could have the case side panel professionally cut with a
laser but that will cost you some additional money.
