There's some way to check actual command prompt history or processes using some Windows utility, right?
i'm not sure what i might have installed recently might be updating software, or if it's something other than command prompt.
I barely get a glimpse of it.

Something keeps popping up a few times today.

edit: maybe it is from the Task Scheduler I added something that didn't seem to run.
Taskschd.msc
The last run time is showing a time I hadn't set. The popup I saw didn't quite look like Command Prompt.
I'm enabling 'history' in Task Scheduler to check on this

So if this is all one same problem, maybe
I've even tried removing some startup items using a utility and still seeing some drivers-related services for Acronis and some uninstalled remnants of other software

Overall just to make sure the computer is functioning well. This console popup is reminding me of more to get sorted.
I could reinstall or something at some point. But I would like to find what this popup is.

Also look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer.

Either one or both may be capturing some error code, warning, or even an informational event just before or at the time of the pop-up's appearance.

Reliability History is much more end user friendly and the time line format may reveal a pattern.

Event Viewer requires more time and effort to navigate and understand.

To help with Event Viewer:

Lastly also look in Process Explorer (Microsoft, free).

Watch for some unknown or unexpected process that shows up. Do not immediately disable or uninstall.

Investigate further to find out what the process may be and what is or should be doing.

Thanks

hopefully it's just the Task Scheduler task I created, which seems to be starting at the wrong times.
I still might look into some of these diagnostics things or consider a clean install or ShadowDefender or something maybe. Too many softwares start running things or leaving remnants anyways.

What did you set up in Task Scheduler?

I.e., what trigger was established and what was to happen when triggered?

Take a close look at what you did or tried to do.

The Task Scheduler Library provides all sorts of detailed information.

A batch file for FFMPEG at an interval.
But it's not starting on the hour as scheduled. It's offset.
I could disable it until I can tinker with it.

Heyy, have you figured out what was it ... I have same issue and no matter how deep I look into background things and schedule task I cant find the root of it... I randomly get two fast command prompt window and instantly close in a split second and is annoying when you play something and get alt tabbed by it...

No, I hadn't figured it out
But I've reinstalled the OS since then and reinstalled much of the software
For now I haven't been getting the command prompts
