Red alert 2 yuris revenge game wont load

hey so i bought the command and conquer first decade set and yuris revenge will not load all the other games load fine. yuris revenge tries to load and shows the first screen saying yuris revenge in the 600 X 600 format then my user account control asks me if i want to allow it to make changes to my computer, i press yes then it goes back to the launch screen for all the box set games on the same disc. id really appreciate the help.
btw red alert 2 works fine but not expansion please help i bought this set for this game

hey there! i have the same problem! 🙁 i have windows 7 64bit with intel hd graphics as well as geforce gt 555m (2gb). i have the original red alert 2 cds as well as the first decade cd. I tried installing both and i got the same issues. ive tried running it as administrator and ive tried changing the compatibility modes; first to 95, then 98, and finally 2000. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled using either one of the cds and tried all the steps again... but no luck. -_- This was my favorite strategic game of all time, especially YR, i need this to work! any suggestions? thanks!

oh yeah.. and ive tried these steps on both the intel hd graphics as well as my GT. i havent tried any other CnC game... but all of my modern games work fine (ie: bf3, css, batman, etc).

Try installing the game via "troubleshoot compatibility".

there are 2 games on the first decade that i cant run on win7 64 bit. im pretty sure there both red alert 2 related. if there the same 1s as yours you will need the vmware installed and then you can play them on the virtual machine with windows xp

I also had this problem.
Yuri's Rev didn't worked - RA2 worked.
Generals and Zero Hour worked. I didn't tried the other games.
I've tried to install the patches but the problem persisted.

The solution is (somehow):
1. uninstall everything and delete the game folders (C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\)

2. browse the C&C TFD DVD for the setup.exe, right click on it and run it as an administrator.

3. after setup you also need to run the game's shortcut as an administrator (every time you want to play).

It worked for me. I can play Yuri now.

I have the same problem but with red alert 2 and yuri's revenge while loading them.
