Red and green lines down side of screen

Hi, I just picked up this 22" Dell 2208WFPt and I knew that it had the lines down the side, but I got it for $8 so if it doesn't work no big deal. So i was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get rid of the lines. Anything that you can tall me I would appreciate it. Thanks

Try manually adjusting the screen position. If the lines move off the screen then you have a controller board defect but you just hidden the problem.

However, it is most likely that the LCD panel is defective and there is no way to repair it.
