Question Red artifacts on half of main monitor when using 120hz+ ?

i have two 144hz monitors, an acer ed273 and an msi g24c both connected via display port, only the acer ed273 has artifacts on half of it. The artifacts only appear when my ed273 is running 120hz+, this happens even when not playing games and my 2070 is idling at 40c. I've tried switching cables and even using hdmi. I've also updated my drivers to the latest version and reinstalling the drivers just in case they were corrupted. I've been trying fixes for the past day and any help would be appreciated.image

Did you try to change the refresh rate on your Acer monitor manually?

what do you mean by manually because i've tried in nvidia control panel and in windows settings, both not getting rid of the artifacts. i think it might be something to do with the monitor and not the gpu because the artifacts happen on the input screen when my pc is off, maybe something to do with the power cable because it got the monitor recently repaired, not sure though. It seems that it is now happening whenever, even on 60hz
