Red cpu light on m5a99fx pro r2.0

I just put together my desktop computer but cannot get it to post. I get a red cpu led and the machine will not post. Any suggestions would be most welcome...I'm leaning toward RMA...

I have the following hardware:

asus m5a99fx pro r2.0
amd fx-8350
8gb g-skill ripjaws ram
msi r9 270 graphics card
sasmsung evo 250gb ssd
toshiba 1TB hdd

Does your computer beep at all when you turn it on? Do the Fans start at all?
