The blah blah community sets a new bar for herp derp in the creation of this release," said Jared Smith, Leader, The Fedora blah blah, in a prepared rant. "Fedora 16 combines the newest advancements in blah blah virtualized and blah computing derp with significant under-the hood-improvements – all while continuing to improve the herpidy derpity derp. The Fedora blah blah’s commitment to advancing free and blah blah herp derp is absolutely reflected in what the herp derp delivered in Fedora 16.

That's all I can read here... don't understand the meaning of all the fancy words they used. Open source? Cloud computing? What's all this BS?

Am I the only person who thinks cloud computing is a bad idea? I mean, the databases I work with and the information I process is way too large to be able to use the cloud even if I wanted to, but I would never leave my information out on the net like that.

[citation][nom]memadmax[/nom]Cloud = Some gimmick that the underlings want to play with and get mad when the admins wont implement it at the workplace.......[/citation]

The reason admins dont let people play with it is because it is much harder to secure. I dont blame my admins for that!

[citation][nom]jacekring[/nom]I have a Fedora hat....don't know what number it is, but it's black...my GF likes it[/citation]
This made me rofl at work.... loudly btw. good thing I work in an office where most people have head sets on.

Maybe you should head to the forums for the basic understanding of computers!

I'm still running Fedora 14. I can't see myself moving to Fedora 16. I've tried both 15 and 16 and disliked Gnome 3. It made it hard to get work done. I'll have to get serious about using XFCE if I move to 16 or check out some other distro.

That's why I stayed with 11.04 - Unity is $h!t and Gnome 3 is a disgusting downgrade from the previous Gnome, which was great. And 11.10 won't let you install older Gnome... Unless Canonical stops being an ass by the time 12.04 arrives, I'm moving to Mint.

Gnome 3 takes some time getting used to, but when you do you just cant leave it. Hell, ive even tuned my W7 to resemble the Gnome interface!

About the OS itself, Fedora is the Best distro you can get. After using it for several months now, Ubuntu/Mint seem like toys to me 😛

[citation][nom]nurgletheunclean[/nom]With 400 linux distros out there is this even news?[/citation]

Yeah, it's news. Fedora is the second (third?) consumer desktop distro out there, as well as the one that is the most advanced and bleeding edge of them all (apart from a few niche ones).
