If you provide some extra light to balance the brightness of the LED, you
should be able to get a good exposure of the LED lit and the surrounding
components.
The trick is to light with a utility light and vary the distance of the
light from the object. If that camera has a manual shutter and aperture
setting, use that instead of Auto.
For the color balance, if you use a tungsten light (household bulb), set the
White Balance of the camera to Tungsten. Then the colors will be more
realistic.
