5 year old system... turn my pc on this morning and my monitors won't display anything.

There is a solid red light on "DRAM_LED". The motherboard is a Asus Z170-AR.

I tried rearranging the ram and using just one stick. After pressing the "MemOK!" button, the red light blinks a few times and then goes away, there is then a solid red light on "BOOT_DEVICE_LED".

Any suggestions?

Easy method is to remove cmos battery for 5min to 10 min.. Unplug before psu from power
While the battery is disconnected put the tip of a screwdriver and touch both of the pins to connect them (shorting the pins) for like 5-10 seconds, more chance of success, and before trying to start your pc try disconnecting everything except cpu, gpu, 1 ram stick and monitor, and if it boots connect 1 by 1 to see when it fails
