Red lights on when computer is off

I have this odd problem... I've never encountered it before and hoping to get some help. I leave my PC on a lot of the time, but some days I have class for 8 hours straight and turn it off. When i turn it off though my video card makes a continuous sound with the red lights lit up. I turn on the computer and it goes away... there really is no problem as of now based on having my computer on. My games run properly, no crashes, but I turn off my computer and the video card has red lights turn on. I'll try to take a picture of it and edit this post. Don't think my specs would matter but incase someone asks...

make sure your mb has the bios updates..sounds like it not shutting down 100 percent. you may want to power it off from the wall and clear the cmos and see if the error stops.
