Red Screen when gaming after replacing CPU

I recently replaced my old CPU (AMD Athlon II X2 250) with an AMD FX 6350.

Now when I play video games there is either a red screen or straight restart of the computer. Before replacing the CPU I had no such issue in the same games I play now, and everything works fine when not gaming.


Specs:

Video card: AMD Radeon HD 6570
Motherboard: AS Rock 960 GM-GS3 FX.
RAM: 4 GB DDR3
Power supply: 450W

It may be because you use a non-supported CPU that draws more than 95W. You are really pushing the poor 3+1 phase VRM that isn't even cooled. A new motherboard that officially supports the FX-6350 should resolve your issue.

Thanks for the answer. Would underclocking the CPU solve the issue until I get a new motherboard?
