Sorry about double posting this, but I'm not sure if this is just a fact of LCD technology or unique to the panel I've got or a bad panel.
I have a Viewsonic VP211b 21.3" panel. On complex (and especially dark) scenes displayed (primarily while gaming), I get red pixels randomly popping up, especially in darker parts of the scene.
I recently replaced a Samgsung 21" CRT with this panel, and I'm running it on a Radeon 9800 Pro via the DVI-D interface.
I haven't experienced this problem with my other lcd panel (a Sony SDM-72 17" panel) run via DVI-D.
Is this a common lcd problem, a symptom of a bad panel, or just a panel with low bandwidth?
I'm very appreciative of any responses; it's been difficult to find much detailed info on the larger lcd panels.
