Red Stuck Pixel

There is a red dot on my LED monitor that can't be seen when there is a black, red, or blue background, but it's red when it's on a white background and it's seen when it's on a yellow or green one. I'm guessing it's stuck because it's not completely black, and I've already tried using JScreenFix overnight and UDPixel for several hours, I've tried tapping with a pen cap and massaging with my finger. I haven't tried the heat method, but I was wondering if there is anything else I can try. The monitor is only a little more than 2 weeks old so it's very new.

Solution

You could try to get an RMA, though they're not going to make it easy on you if it's just one pixel.

Try using UD Pixel. If that doesn't work then I don't know. By the way let it run for a while (like half an hour).

First off. Let me start by saying I know you pain and annoyance. Their are 2 things you can do. 1. Run a screen fix. Try UD Pixel like JP7PlaysMC mentioned. 2. This sounds weird but has been known to work. You MUST use a soft micro fiber CLEAN cloth. Wrapping the cloth once around your finger covering your index finger. Then apply pressure to the screen, but not a lot. To the just enough that the area of the screen turns a little dark. Then in a circular motion. Rub the pixel. Believe or not. This can un-stick a pixel.

Hope this helps.

I did try UDPixel as I mentioned in the original post, however I can try it all night again to see if it helps. I never used an actual soft micro fiber clean cloth so I can try that as well.

Also, I'm glad that you do because I know it's just a dot that you have to look for, but the problem is, I subconsciously look at exactly where it is no matter what I'm doing just because it's kind a sticking out at this awkward position. I could try to ignore but my eyes would be back on it without even realizing, it drives me nuts :heink: It's kind of like when you have a cut somewhere and you don't feel anything until someone points it out to you, and the pain kicks in and you can't do anything to ignore it afterwards.

UPDATE: I tried massaging with a microfiber cloth while I ran UDPixel at the same time but it didn't yield to anything, I'm gonna keep UDPixel going all night to see if it might do something by the morning.

Thank you, I'll just have to try.
