Hey,

I've noticed that we haven't been very active on this newsgroup very much. I
have a quick Q. If you know the answer, please post it, if not, post that
you don't know. If the answer is already there, still please post. I will
then average the results and post the data that will tell us how long we
have to wait to get a good answer.

Q1: If Captain of the Host makes a rescue attempt, and Ananias (who then
bands to Sapphira) blocks, can CotH play a banding card?

This is not the Word From On High (aka Cactus), but as a judge I would rule
this way:

CotH negates all SAs except those that cannot be negated. Therefore, he
prevents Sapphira's SA, so she cannot negate banding. So CotH can play a
banding card.

CotH vs. Sapphira is a "paper vs. paper" situation in 3e rule terms. There is
an example (p. 57) of CotH preventing King of Tyrus, which would be the same
kind of situation.

Thanks,

The first response time was 2 hours and 35 minutes, very good.

Remeber anyone else on the newsgroup, reply even though it was already
answered.

I concur with Steve. A banding card can be played by Captain.
