[SOLVED] Reduce mic noise

I know webcams aren’t the best mics, but I’m using this one. I need the mic boosted, so I did that in windows settings, the quality of the mic isn’t the problem, it’s the background noise. My voice is barely heard from the background noise, and I have a pretty quiet house, but I i boost the mic just 1 db more, the noise gets gradually louder until my ears start bleeding (figure of speech). What’s that 1 db difference make, and is there a way to reduce the noise of my mic?

Thx, but looking it up and reading reviews, I don't think that would do well for me. My voice is barely audible from the background noise, and if I increase the gain, which is what I want to do, it will make my voice significantly quieter than my background noise, so this would just also cut off my voice. Also some people say they can’t uninstall it so that’s a problem.

Not really possible while still using the webcam, but thx, I’ll just get another external mic.
