Reduce Page File but still being used?

I have my page file set to a maximum of 3GB but MSI Afterburner is showing it climbing higher than that limit. How do I force it to utilize RAM instead? I have 24 GB of RAM.

You cannot prevent Windows use of the page file. Windows also requires that a page file be present, so do not go and turn it off either.

Thanks for your response. I'm not trying to prevent it from being used. I realize that the page file is used for some essential functions of Windows. I'm only trying to figure out why it's using more than why I have it set to. Also just try to see if it is using the page file for textures in games, and to stop it from doing that it possible.

What MSI Afterburner shows as Pagefile usage, actually is Commit value from Task Manager.
You have to worry only, when Commit value goes past amount of physical ram on your pc.

If you want to find real values of pagefile usage, then use Performance monitor (perfmon.msc) and add counters Paging File/Usage.
