Reducing Shared GPU RAM

After building a new PC consisting of 8GB of RAM and a 570 Classified, the amount of graphics RAM went up from 3GB to 4 from when I had 4GB of RAM.

In ASUS' M6 Hero BIOS I can't see any sort of option to reduce this amount, since for the life of me, I'd never use 4GB of VRAM, 3 is still ample.

what? a gtx 570 has 1.2gb of vram. your system has 8gb of ram. they have nothing in common other than the fact that they are meant for quick access

none of the ram is shared unless your card doesnt not have enough vram to drive the textures. if that is the case (which it shouldnt be), you should be experiencing massive lag
