Reformatting a Win ME drive

I was told by someone at Fry's that Windows ME is difficult to remove from a system. I asked him about formatting the drive, and he insisted that it probably wouldn't work.

This seems ludicrous to me. An OS that somehow prevents you from reformatting the drive?

Anyway, I thought I'd ask. Has anybody experienced any problems with removing Windows Millenium from their system?

Thanks

Formatting is enough to remove the OS. You could even repartition if you like.

I think you got "misinformation." I installed WinME three times in three days when I upgraded to a new MB. Reformat and reinstallation was never a problem.

Yeah, the sales guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

Thanks... I thought he was full of [-peep-], but I just wanted to be sure.
