Reformatting hard drive when installing a new Motherboard

I am buying a new motherboard for aesthetic/expansion reasons (3-pin 5V RGB header specifically). I currently am using a Z370 ASUS (TUF) and I'm upgrading to an ASUS Z370 ROG board. Will I run into any boot issues and/or will have to reformat my hard drive and re-install windows? I would assume with the same manufacturer and chipset there won't be an issue but I want to be sure.

No need to re-install OS you shouldn't have an issue booting , it's the same chipset.

It should work out , I've never had an issue booting the same chipset on Intel or AMD.

There will be problem with windows activation.

Also boot mode and sata controller mode in BIOS must be the same as on old motherboard.

And more - chipset drivers may need to be reinstalled.

I never needed to reinstall CHIPSET drivers in these situations and as long as you link your OS to a Microsoft Account , you will be fine for activation. On my 2 different Asrock 370 boards , windows didn't need activation when I changed them out.
