Probably an easy/dumb question (yet another), but here goes: I want to reformat the drive with my operating system on it. I plan to install a new hard drive (Raptor) for my OS and then use the previous one as a storage drive. Should I reformat now, reformat once the OS is installed on the Raptor ... or does the sequence not matter?

Thanks for your assistance (in advance)! :D

Install the Raptor, disconnect the drive you have now.
Install the OS on the Raptor. Reinstall the second drive, and format away.
That is the way I would do it anyway. If anything goes wrong with new install on the Raptor, you at least have a drive with a working OS in reserve to fall back on in the meantime.

:hello:

I knew I could find someone thinking more clearly than myself on this Sunday morning. [:mousemonkey:4]

Thank you!
