Reformatting Toshiba Satellite laptop. But it didn't come with a Windows 8 disc

I have a Toshiba Satellite S855-S5165 which I bought with Windows 8 pre installed back in 2013. I want to reformat it and install Windows 8 but it didn't come with a restore disc (And I deleted the recovery partition when I installed Windows 7 a while back).

I've read that the serial key for Windows 8 is saved on the BIOS? If this is true, can I download WIndows 8 from

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8

And install it and the system will automatically detect the serial key for Windows 8 from the BIOS?

It will *probably* install and activate just fine.

I've done exactly that on similar Toshiba.
