Question Refresh Rate and Colors

Hey. Since 144 Hz and 240 Hz displays are so common right now, I was wondering if they affected colors/contrast ratio in anyway, particularly in regard to laptops.

I'm not that much of a tech geek, and would appreciate any info on this topic.

The higher Hz monitors do compromise on contrast. For colours IPS is best but I don’t remember seeing any over 165Hz.

Interesting. How much does it affect contrast? For eg, if i choose a 240 Hz screen over a 144 Hz, how much contrast would I lose?

I was looking at the Eluktronics Max 17. I want the 2070 super, but its paired with the 240 Hz screen. So I don't know if I should choose better performance in exchange for a slightly worse screen.
