Hello everyone, I own a 60hz Dell ST2220L and for some reason It constantly tries to run games at 120hz. Because my monitor can't display it, it just becomes a black screen. I have my monitor running off a GTX 760 and nothing in nVidia control panel seems to help. If you have any solutions/suggestions that would be awesome.
Thanks!

Try to uninstall your graphic drivers with DDU and then install the latest drivers again as they may have become corrupted. Also make sure you have any other updated drivers for your board from Dell and from your card manufacturer. After running DDU install the new drivers and see if there is any difference. Also try a different port or cable from your card to the monitor. If nothing helps, then as Terry suggested you may have an issue with your monitor itself...

Yeah unfortunately that is one of the things I've tried. It's always fine on the desktop but it seems to be something to do with certain fullscreen applications. Lots of directx games do it but not all of them. It's really strange.

If it is just certain apps, have you tried changing video options in that program?

@dee kay Yes, if i do that it works temporarily but will just bork up again. For some reason I think the monitor is reporting that it can do 120hz while only being able to do 60hz.

@terry Yes, no go.
