Refresh rate external monitor to laptop

Hallo.i have a problem.i recently bought a dell p2415Q and i wanted to connect it via hdmi to my laptop omen 17 w001 nv.i checked the 3860 resolution and in nvidia control panel shows me refresh rate 30.Is it possible some how to reach 60 maybe with a minidp to hdmi cable.Is it possible to keep this 4k resolution and have 60 refresh rate with only hdmi cable?my cable is 1.3 hdmi not 2.0

No, the P2415Q only supports HDMI 1.4, which has a max of 4K 30 Hz. You need to use DisplayPort to get 4K 60 Hz.

Nothing, if your laptop doesn't have DisplayPort output you can't run that monitor at 4K 60 Hz.

There are adapter for USB Type C to Display Port connection with 4k/60hz support. If your notebook does have USB-C, then you can buy such an adapter. USB-C is the smaller one, the bigger USB-3 connection does not support 4k/60hz. So, you maybe out of luck.

updated solved!
unpluged any video cable from monitor
then select hdmi aknd press tha button for 6 sec
then disable 1.4 hdmi
plug hdmi cable
change settings and voila
3860 at 60 hz

Are you sure? Because HDMI don't support 4k/60hz.

3840x2160 not 4k exactly but the same resolution was before and the same is after here is the link to see it thank you

4k is a term for a group of difference resolutions, which contains also 3840x2160.

And sorry, I was wrong. The newer HDMI 2.0 seems to support 4k/60hz. Just forget this and enjoy. Have fun.

updated solved!

3860 at 60 hz

It is probably using YCbCr 4:2:0. Can you go to NVIDIA control panel -> Change Resolution and tell us what it says under "Output Color Format"?
