Refresh rate external monitor to laptop

Hallo.i have a problem.i recently bought a dell p2415Q and i wanted to connect it via hdmi to my laptop omen 17 w001 nv.i checked the 3860 resolution and in nvidia control panel shows me refresh rate 30.Is it possible some how to reach 60 maybe with a minidp to hdmi cable.Is it possible to keep this 4k resolution and have 60 refresh rate with only hdmi cable?my cable is 1.3 hdmi not 2.0

updated solved!
unpluged any video cable from monitor
then select hdmi aknd press tha button for 6 sec
then disable 1.4 hdmi
plug hdmi cable
change settings and voila
3860 at 60 hz


No, the P2415Q only supports HDMI 1.4, which has a max of 4K 30 Hz. You need to use DisplayPort to get 4K 60 Hz.

There are adapter for USB Type C to Display Port connection with 4k/60hz support. If your notebook does have USB-C, then you can buy such an adapter. USB-C is the smaller one, the bigger USB-3 connection does not support 4k/60hz. So, you maybe out of luck.

updated solved!
unpluged any video cable from monitor

It is probably using YCbCr 4:2:0. Can you go to NVIDIA control panel -> Change Resolution and tell us what it says under "Output Color Format"?

I will do that later and i will post a link with photo.I iam prety surw that is rgb because i am a photographer and i work in rgb and srgb also i will post later a photo thank you
