I need some help figuring out if my PYI 1050 ti will be able to handle the ASUS ROG Swift PG258Q monitor with 240 Hz. I dont know if I will be good with buying this or it will just be a waste of money. Any suggestions?
For most eSports type games it might be able to exceed 75Hz or 120Hz, for many modern and more demanding games, the 1050Ti won't push it that high.
What kind of games and titles do you play?
Sorry for the extremely late response but I play games like CSGO and PUBG. I also plan on upgrading to a i7 6700 K with a Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8GB
With a GTX-1070 in mind as an upgrade, the monitor will be well utilized. TH just published their review today. To me it is a bit overpriced, but then again it's the first real 240Hz monitor to market that I'm aware of. Go for it.
Sounds like a waste of money. $600 monitor with a $120 gpu? Unless you are strictly playing csgo on lower settings, theres no way it will be able to handle 240 hz.

Alright, thank you for the help!
With a GTX-1070 (or Vega equivalent or competitor) The monitor's abilities will be well utilized, even though it is a bit expensive. If it wasn't for that, it would have been a waste to spend that much on it just for a GTX-1050Ti. TH was fairly impressed with the screen and features.

I saw what you mean by its a bit pricey, i'm going to wait a little and see if the price of it will eventually decrease at least a bit
