Refresh rate monitor

hello....i'm not familiar with any of this but...if i put my refresh rate in nvidia control panel above 60Hz ...is there any risks to the monitor???Like , will it reduce its lifespan or do anything negative?

(Specs :
CPU : Intel i5 4690 3.5Ghz
Ram : Kingston Hyper X Fury 2x4 GB 1600Mhz
GPU : MSi GTX980 GAMING 4G
Monitor : Asus LED 21.5'' VX228H 1920x1080 )

Nope, it won't affect the lifespan or ruin the monitor. If it wasn't supposed to go higher then the option wouldn't be there.
