I have an AMD 2GHz with a Leadtek winfast a250 ultra geforce ti 4600 graphics card.

Will running a game in 1152x864 @100Hz make my game go slower than if I had run the game in 1152x864 @75Hz?

Will a higher refresh rate affect performance?

What would have been the truth for older systems?

If you think about it logically, one refreshes 100 times a second, while another one refreshes 75 times a second. I would think that the more refresh rates are better for fast gamin like UT.

The higher the refresh rate the most often ramdac has to be accessed, so if you have a memory bandwidth limitation on your gfx card, then it might be an issue @ higher resolutions and higher refresh rates. Sometimes there can be an impact of 10-15% on performance on high res/refresh with systems using older gfx card (gf2 gts and below).
