Refresh Rate won't go above 60hz

Hi,

I recently upgraded my EVGA Geforce GT 730 to a EVGA Geforce GT 1030. I had 144hz refresh rate before the upgrade. I just replaced the graphics card and I have tried all the ways I possibly can while trying to up my refresh rate. I have a Benq Zowie XL2411 which is compatible with 144hz. Also, is a GT 1030 compatible with 144hz or just 120hz? Well, I contacted Benq and NVIDIA tech support. I have tried everything in the control panel to my display properties for my monitor. I have a double monitor setup. I also do have a Dual Link DVI-D cable which came with my monitor.

Will any of you be able to help me out? I have been stressing for about 5 hours now trying to figure this out.

Can you select 120hz?

It doesn’t let me change it over 60hz

After upgrading graphics did you uninstall and clean install latest drivers for the 1030?

Where are you trying to change resolution? Couple places you can change it, Nvidia cp and also in Windows resolution/ monitor.

The dvi cable you were given, have you tried your other cable you were using before?

Well i cleaned the drivers after i installed the graphics card. I am trying to do it for 1920x1080. I also tried HDMI. I tried changing both on Nvidia CP and windows same outcome.

Stupid saying 120hz in spec sheet if dvi is only single link unless it meant for hdmi2 but that doesn't help you and monitors with hdmi 2 accepting 120hz is limited.

Can you link me to your gpu model plz so i can have a look. Yes you need dvi dual link but its looking like the 1030 you have is single.

Dvi d cable will connect to both single and dual link port, the single/dual difference cant be destinguished by looking at it

You need the extra bandwidth dvi dual link provides for 120hz. Single link isnt enough.

Can i suggest returning the card and get a 1050.
