Hello all,

Am I right in thinking you can't complain about the refs in FM05? That Rob
Styles is a cardhappy twat if you ask me. I've now got 5 players out on one
match bans just before the FA Cup semi and some vital Premiership matches,
thanks to him dishing them out even when I've got the team set on easy
tackling.

Yeah I agree with you, he is a bastard.
He reffed my League cup first leg match against Wolves. He sent
Rooney off after 27 mins and dished out 5 yellows to the rest of my
team. I still won the match 4-0, but still!
Then surprise suprise hes reffing the Final, Ronney gets booked in the
first minute(!) 12 minutes later hes off, Damien Duff scores before he
gets a straight red just before half time. The second half involved
Dede, Kleberson, Sweinsteiger and Christiano Ronaldo all getting
yellows, yet Middlesborough got just two yellows. Needless to say
with just 9 men and everyone on easy takling, Mendieta equalised for
Middlesborough taking it to extra time, where we both scored another
before Tim Howard saving three penalties to win the shootout. But now
i face a crunch game in the Premier League against Arsenal with no
Rooney, Duff, Dede or Ronaldo, all thanks to this card happy idiot.
Can you complain against refs in FM and also can refs be
demoted/promoted for their performances?

No, and No, I think the reason they removed complaining from CM4+ is that it
didn't actually do much/anything, except of course make you feel better that
you complained 🙂

So a ref actually applies to rules to Manure, and you complain?

Yeah cos I've got lots of suspensions, plus hes very bias. Ive just
played in the FA cup semi against Chelsea, he is reffing again (he
seems to ref a lot of cup matches). Anyhoo it was a brilliant match
coming out 7-1 which I am pleased about considering they have the
likes of Adriano, Totti, Robben, Lampard etc.(The board didnt even
mention any kind of happiness about it) But i got 4 yellows with
Chelsea receiving none.

Are refs bias to certain teams in the game?

No cheating involved, I dont need to cheat arsehole. Its the ref I
have a problem with you stupid moron.

Noone got sent off in my match, I wouldnt know how to cheat even if I
wanted to. I've got a snapshot of the teams playing but I have no
website, and like I said earlier they had a naff goalie.

then? It sure aint "good management"... you said they received no bookings
so weren't down to 10 men.?

It was modified for Corners and Freekicks, along with off the ball runs.

I had a set theory for which defender / attacker should be set on the set
pieces.

I had 4 in the wall if defending a freekick, with 2 forward, one on near one
on far 1 marking short, one marking tall.

I set my 4 best headers for the walls, with the 2 strongest for the markers
(if conflicts arose well it'd be the next in line) the 2 FASTEST players
were the ones forward and 2 "Positioning / Concentration" players for the
mark short and tall guys.

Corners i always had 2 guys on edge of box (this is attacking - 2 long
shotters) 1 near post (best header) 1 back post (attack - Finishing) 3
BACK for defensive purposes. Best Crosser took the corner if i didn't have
a corners 18+ guy.

Defending corners was similar to free kicks cept 1 on back post 1 on near
post 2 marking tall, 1 marking short, 2 forward and the rest marking nearest
guy.

Yep, it was scramjet alright and it was deadly. Completely destroyed the opponents' player AI,
human or computer controlled.

heh, you weren't joking about the keeper.... But still the team they put out
shouldn't have lost as bad as they did. Guess the keeper didn't save
anything?

Also why did you take rooney off? (He scored 4 by the 61st)
