So I need a PSU to finish my build and since there a very few available at the moment I'm looking to private sellers where I came across this personal sale...

"$129
Fresh from SeaSonic, I have 7 of these 1300 watt gold refurbished PSU's. They will come with a brand new full cable set, and I will also include a heavy gauge power cable. I'm not sure if they have any warranty from SeaSonic, however I will guarantee them for 1 year. Price of $129 each INCLUDES shipping to anywhere in the 48 states. Will give $20 discount if you come pick it up. I sent in a bunch of burned up 1200w PSU's from a dismantled bitcoin farm for warranty replacement, and received these newer 1300w models as replacements."

I emailed SeaSonic and sent them a serial number to check for possible warranty but I'm not holding my breath nor do I expect them to respond. I know they are not in business to broker 3rd party private sales.

My biggest issue is that I only need a 450W unit and I don't know how stupid it is to buy a 1300W for my needs. But if it's a good investment and a good unit which I suspect it should be I might be able to trade up later.

Should I bite?

Solution
Yeah, you're probably right. Plus I have no reason to trust this dudes warranty to begin with
I'll wait to see if SeaSonic gets back.
There are some decent PSUs still out there. What are your system specs? If you only need 450 watts then it comes down to if you want a modular or not. But you can grab a Seasonic platinum 550w for $115

1 year warranty for forking over $130? I’d pass no matter if it was brand new in the box
