So, I got a refurb RTX 4080 - Palit Game Rock, but when I try running the OCCT GPU Gfx core benchmark, the core frequency is only 2360 Mhz with a max clock of 2535 but the power consumed is like 330W.
Is this behaviour normal?

The card is close to the free return window and would love to hear your opinion.
Also which other tests do I need to do?

Edit:

Thanks a lot, guys!
Love this forum BTW. Very easygoing as it should be, unlike some PC Hardware forums and Twitter!

BTW, I have an XPG Core Reactor 650W PSU and I'm using the Corsair type 4 12VHPWR cable. During the stress test, the cable is warm to the touch near the connector! I'm guessing it's due to the GPU fans's hot air exhaust but do I need to be concerned?

What are the rest of your system specs?

Recommended power supply for that GPU is 850W.

I would not stress test it at all with an insufficient power supply.
Ryzen 5600x + X570 Tomahawk + G.Skill trident Z 16GBx 2 + 2 NVME SSDs and 2 SATA SSDs along with Arctic 420mm AIO and 6 case fans.

Btw, I just downloaded the EZbench UE5 benchmark from steam and it's stuck. Only a black screen is visible.

I don't know if it's downloading any data or because of any issues.

LMFAO thats over killing a 5600x with a 420mm arctic you live in the desert :) ( all good just joking but still crazy)

yeah need a decent psu to start some people use them silly PSU calculators = BAD

check GPU manufacturers website for recommendations on psu wattage

I'm just buying stuff on deals 😆 I got a good deal on the cooler and as I could be upgrading to the new AMD processors (9800X3D?), I thought why not?

Regarding the PSU, I would be upgrading to a better 1000W+ unit soon. Just waiting for the new 3.1 PSUs to hit the market and reduce in price.

Btw, any suggestions on testing the card?
