refurbished ssd: how to determine existing "disk writes"

Hello,
I am considering buying a refurbished ssd. The only concern I have is the condition of the NAND which i assume the manufacturer would not replace on a returned unit.

If this is the case, I would like to know if there is a program that i can use to determine (roughly) the amount of lifetime data to the disk before using it as my primary drive

thanks

Refurbished generally means that it leaves the factory in the same state as a completely new unit.
Any program you can run will only tell you what the firmware has saved so if they reset the firmware (changed the chip) than it will tell you that the disk is new,no matter how many writes the nands have suffered.

If this is the case, I would assume that buying a refurbished SSD is really a gamble.
