regarding downgrading to windows 7

My laptop pavilion g6 1200tx came with windows 7 home basic.
I upgraded my laptop to windows 8 and as of now i want to reinstall windows 7.
But the cd i put in read as blank cd or dvd and i cannot see the uefi option also.
See to it soon windows 8 is just freaking.
Elaborate the steps how to install win 7 bak on my laptop.....

1. Copy all the files off the installation CD onto a usb (4GB or more).
2. Load up your PC and press your bios key (Usually f2, f8, esc or del).
3. Chose your usb device as your boot option.
4. Go through the usual Windows setup
5. Enjoy windows
