[SOLVED] Regarding the Secure Erase+ option in the MSI Bios?

I’ve got an old SSD (Crucial MX500) that i’m gonna give away. Is it safe to use the Secure Erase+ option in the MSI Bios? Why i’m asking is because i’ve heard comments about it locking the HDD with a password.
