I often use software to check my laptop's temperature. While the overall temperature seems fine, does it still need new thermal paste if the last time it has been used more than 5–6 years ago?

-How could understand CPU needs thermal paste ?

If the temp is fine, leave it alone.

Changing things when they do not need to be changed often leads to large problems.
