[SOLVED] Regular update vs Optional update...do i need it ?

My PC is up to date,but i also have option for ''view optional updates'' and have 3 drivers to install there.One is for my LG monitor,second Intel-System and the third one is Intel-Other Hardware - Intel(R) Xeon(R) processor E3....etc

Do i need this ?

They're optional for a reason

If you're not having issues with the hardware it's mentioning, you don't need to update.

Well,they seem pretty important to me at least.Id rather install them,but not sure if something can go wrong...

If something goes wrong, you can usually do a System Restore to roll it back.

only if windows is nice enough to create a restore point before driver installs. It is meant to, same as it should make one before a windows update. whether it does or not is another story.

It is not recommended you install these updates unless you have a specific problem. As enticing as it seems, it can create havoc if your device fails to properly process the update. I learned this the hard way.

I leave all cumulative updates until i have to get them. If you click check now when you up to date, it might give you something thats not quite ready yet.
I grab version updates as soon as I see them, I don't want to wait...

sure, version updates could break windows but any of them can. Most of the time they are fine.
