ok i have a dell inspiron 15-3521 purchased with the pre-installed windows 8 and its had Windows.7.Loader.eXtreme.Edition.v3.503-NAPALUM installed. so i want to find the OEM pruduct key and do what ever it takes to get windows 8 back. im pretty noob with computers but have done a little research so far. i have tried useing RW everything to find the OEM which in the SMBIOS [system enclosure or chassis] (type 3) OEM-defined 0x00000000 so im guessing from what ive read the BIOS has been replaced is there a way to restore the original windows 8. i have no back up either any help would be great ty

It is completely unknown what that cracked Win 7 version did to that PC.

Two options:
1. Contact Dell and obtain a Recovery DVD
2. Buy a new copy of whichever OS you want.

Non-optional #3 - Don't use a cracked Windows OS.

"why didn't my windows 8 laptop come with a license sticker on the bottom "

"With Windows 8, Microsoft has changed from stickers that have the product key that the user has to type in when installing the operating system to new BIOS embedded product keys. The idea is that by eliminating the sticker, you eliminate one of the easier ways for nefarious users to get a legitimate product key. Eliminating the product key sticker also removes any worry that the sticker might get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating process of typing in various letters and numbers when installing the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a machine that came with Windows 8, the installation process automatically grabs the software product key from the motherboard BIOS with no input from the user. This means that those familiar Windows product key stickers will no longer appear on the Windows 8 computers."

If he can get the right install disk. A retail disk won't work.
As said earlier....obtain it from Dell.

so far this seems to be my only 2 options but im going to keep looking and will post if i find anything useful
