Hi.

I have a 256GB SSD for my Win10 and two 1TB SSD for games and others.

But I want to see if it is possible to move/install my Win10 to one of the 1TB SSDs without having to physically remove the 256GB SSD during the process.

I want to use the 256 GB SSD for another purpose.

Clean (re)install is no problem.

Thank you.

Solution
  • use a wintows usb bootable drive (https://www.cnet.com/tech/computing...this-how-to-create-a-windows-10-bootable-usb/)
  • boot into the windows usb drive (usualy spam one of the f keys. you'll have to search the key for your motherboard type) and it will promp you to intall windows.
  • you will not need any activation key if your pc has already been activated previously.
  • when you get to the drive section, delete all partitions so you are only left with unallocated space
  • select the drive you want to install windows onto and let windows install
