Hello I have a Fujitsu lifebook a series ah531. it came with windows 7 home premium operating system. My son decided to use my CD for windows 7 professional and now there is no way to activate that as it was installed on my Toshiba. the system recovery does not let it go back to original o/s. I do not have a cd to use. I do not know how to reformat the c drive because it wont let me says i am using windows 7 professional and it can not reformat it. Any idea would help getting that message from Microsoft to activate the windows 7 professional.

Solution
does the hard drive have a recovery partition ?

That will be windows if it does . Usually drive letter D and about 10 gig partition size .

If you use it you wipe out all your existing data programs etc so you need to make backups
Or pay MS for a license .....and tell your son to leave your computer alone

Solution
So the standard procedure doesn't work? Don't choose repair, choose recover:
- Turn on your device
- During the bios post screen press F8 several times
- Then a new screen will be showen where you have to choose 'repair your computer'
- Go on untill you can choose 'Fujitsu Recovery' to restore your device

Thank you so much. Your advice helped me re install the original operating system. I appreciated your answer to me and such a quick response. Have a great Christmas and happy new year.
