I highly recommend going to Windows 7 or Windows 10.

I highly recommend to install either Windows 10 or 8.1, I had Vista in the past and it's really the worst possible OS you can have, you can still migrate to Windows 10 for free using a USB until 2018.

The free upgrade only applied to Win 7, 8, and 8.1 not Vista.
