Reinstalling a pre-installed Windows on the original hard drive onto a new SSD

I have an older HP Pavillion desktop that came with Windows 7 Home pre installed on the hard drive. Now I want to add an SSD to the PC. Is there a way that I can reinstall Windows 7 onto the SSD (It will also be for programs if I can get Windows on it), and just keep the hard drive for files etc.? Thanks in advance! Also, it's a 1TB Hard Drive, and a 120GB SSD.
