Hi,
is there a way to reinstall Internet Explorer without reinstalling Windows
itself? (I have Win2k, IE 6.0)

Thx,
Gus

If you can't repair then use the registry edits in this article.

You have to do a complete re-install of the OS. IE is
part of the Win2k operating system and isn't a stand-
alone application. Just do an upgrade and it won't
delete any of your files but it will fix your IE. Hope
this helps.

Hi,
actually I reinstalled Win2K (not with formatting, simply ran the win2k
install again over my current windows) and IE worked again, but only because
it 'downgraded' to version 5.0. When I reinstalled IE6 SP1, the problem came
back. It seems to me that pages that use Java don't show - actually they
show until the loading of a java applet is getting started. Strange.
Other ideas?

This article refers to Windows XP. Should I try it with my Win2K anyway?

Thx,
Gus
