[SOLVED] Reinstalling ryzen wraith cooler

I just finished helping my friend to build his PC and I checked the temperatures for the CPU and it was like 55-65 degrees on idle and spiked up to 80 degrees when having some chrome tabs open. So I figured that it was the cooler that wasn't installed correctly, but I don't know if I should wipe off the thermal paste and apply some new. Should I wipe it of or should I reinstall it with the current thermal paste?

Yes, you need to completely clean both the CPU and the wraith.
Then apply new paste.
