reinstalling windows 10

Solution

Go for cheaper 2133 ddr4. There is no difference on a discrete gpu. Also, consider the MSI Z170A SLI PLUS as it may be cheaper and have all you need.

You don't need to reinstall windows 90% of the time, but you will have to reactivate it(if it's OEM, you can't). retail or oem builder, yes.
that being said, depending from wha tyou're coming from you will probably have do clean your graphics drivers and reinstall them(if you were on integrated or amd).

If it's retail, yes. [strike]And do it in the installation process.[/strike] Whoops :)))

I cant remember if I got propted asking for activation after I logged in first time after the motherboard change... though I remember it saying not activated when I checked control panel- system and security - system...

No need for a fresh install in my case at least, I only swapped out motherboard, CPU and ram

in Mars my current computer broke down and i didnt know what cause the trouble so i left it to a company to take care of. they installed windows 10 and new RAM. i got it back early in April. but if i do need to reinstall it i need the product key and they kept the "box" with the cd and the key but i can still see the code if i go to: controlpanel > System and security >System.
at the bottom it says: windows have been activated
Product-ID ......
but cant you just enter the product key once? on one computer

Careful, that rpoduct id in NOT what you need. You need teh key from the box. Call them and tell them you want it..
