Hi. I have an installation question.

I have windows 7 installed on my C drive. Most of my other software has been installed on a secondary drive, F. I am going to reinstall Windows 7 on the same C drive. Clean install which means, I'm going to format the hardrive. Will I need to reinstall all my software which is on the F drive or will I just need to recreate the shortcuts?

Thank you!

YEP. Once you install Windows then registry is wiped out. That is where the knowledge of all the installed programs is kept. You will have to reinstall all programs.

Nope, most software will just work without install again, some exceptions are antivirus.
This will make your PC much more faster, I just make all my program "green".
If some not work, just install all VC and basic componients from MS.

Stuff like steam and in general most games, tolerate being on a separate drive without fuzz. Stuff like office or adobe on the other hand will require registry keys etc. so those might have to be reinstalled (probably can even choose old directory so that changes you made to /save locations get ported over).
