Reinstalling windows after upgrades

I'm getting a new cpu, mobo,and gpu next week so I'm assuming I need to reinstall windows once everything gets put into place. My system came with windows 7 prebuilt onto it so what is the best course of action for getting windows on my upgraded system? Sorry I'm fairly new to all of this. Will I also be able to re use my activation key on the side of my case?

Yes you need to reinstall windows when replacing cpu and mobo. Reinstalling windows though will have some issues. First, your OEM windows is tied up to your old mobo and you agreed to MicroSoft 1 windows 1 user policy. You have to get in touch with MS to deal with your issue

So I can get out of having to purchase another one potentially by getting in contact with microsoft?

You have to ask Microsoft about that. Tell them your case and you we will be advice whats the best thing to do
